RCCP II Workshops
The following workshops were planned for 2018/2019:
- Software, Data, and Library Carpentry workshops to teach programming and data analysis
- Carpentry Instructor Training introduces lecturers and students to evidence-based teaching practices
- ITIL Workshops [CANCELLED DUE TO HUMAN RESOURCE LIMITATIONS]
- Cyber Security workshops for Computer Security Incidence Response Teams
- Network monitoring workshops to monitor network traffic on the SANREN backbone [REPLACED BY THE NETWORK DESIGN WORKSHOP]
- Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop to train university network engineering staff on how to improve their campus network designs
- Research & T&L Enablers workshops to provide support staff (known as enablers) an opportunity to learn what happens inside other support divisions and to learn about resources that are useful to support them in the changing support landscape [CANCELLED DUE TO TIME AND HUMAN RESOURCE LIMITATIONS. Many more Carpentries workshops were run to further drive the development of a community of practice in academia around computational/digital literacy]
- eLearning events - a collaboration with the ASAUDIT Blended Learning SIG
- Identity Management and Federation workshop to introduce fundamentals of identity management and federation
